As mentioned in the first post, the idea for This Startup is the same as it was when I first created Vulnerable Founder. My hope is to share real stories about what it’s like to be a founder.

I will be bringing over the original Vulnerable Founder posts to this Substack, and provide additional comments to add on to the original topic of discussion.

It has been an exhilarating couple of years with Pivvt, but extremely difficult as well, as we still are trying to figure out our market, fit, and product itself. It has also been a lonely journey, but those around me that have been there to offer support have been such a blessing.

Here’s to another 10 years on this adventure.

When we hear about entrepreneurship, we are often told the success stories of those that made it big, and occasionally we will hear about those that have failed miserably. Many stories left untold are the little things that entrepreneurs deal with on a day to day basis, of their struggles and the little victories.

I am here to share my stories. I will document what I am thinking about, what I am struggling with, and pass along things that I have learned along the way. Occasionally you may hear about my little victories here and there, but I am sure there will be a lot more challenges along the way.

Vulnerable Founder was the name of a blog (and podcast) that I put together while working on our first idea for digital content creators, from December 2020 through March 2021. We decided to shut down our old app, so I’m bringing highlighted posts from that blog here to our new one on Substack with short updates on the same topic.
